Night in Mocomoco
Night in Mocomoco
Last night, I sat — without power — reading my Kindle by candlelight and thinking about the last twenty-nine years of priesthood. I never thought I’d end up in Bolivia! But, with God’s help and your friendship and concern, here I am! Last week, we began work on the new center/chapel in Ingas. I’ll be visiting regularly to take photos as we progress. Within a few days, we should break ground in Calacala for the third center (Wilalcala was the first last year), and the parish center in Mocomoco is the fourth. It will be a busy time, running back and forth to construction sites and to the city to buy and ship materials, while maintaining our regular schedule of visits and formation events.

How do I keep the energy up? Having good confreres like Cyrille and Diego is a great foundation. Then, working with committed people like Flora and Violeta, and our three student-volunteers, Aida, Lidia, and Santiago sure helps! And then, my days are filled with kids like these. What more could I ask! Tomorrow it’s off to by cement, re-bar and bricks! Thanks again for a great twenty-nine (and MORE for some of you!) years, and thanks for your great generosity in making all this possible! If you want to make an ongoing commitment to the work, or just a special gift, click this link that will take you to our donation page. Blessings to you and yours!
