With the formation center/chapel complete in Wilacala, and work on the new center in Ingas about to begin, we’ve launched a new effort to draw the youth from our rural communities into the Vincentian Family. Our second foramtion weekend for rural youth was a resounding success. Diego designed and organized a day of formation and prayer activities around fundamental human, Christian and Vincentian values, that stimulated conversations and planted the seeds for a new generation of Vincentian missionaries here in Mocomoco.
This followup to our first encounter in August is the launching platform for inspiring the youth to work as evangelizers in their own communities, drawing more youth to deepen their relationship with Christ, and to be witnesses to their own families. Flora and I joined in the conversations, listening and learning from our younger brothers and sisters.
They worked hard, played hard, studied hard, and drew from their own experience and wisdom to complement and deepen their understanding of the presentations that Diego had prepared. Please pray for this effort that will hopefully be the foundation of a new way of ministering here on the Altiplano!
